Through the structure of the company and the strength and synergy of
Multicom Media Services and NewsWeb Printing & Distribution in particular, Multimedia Nova quite often undertakes special projects that go well and beyond. Over the last few years, we have been able to provide many products and services promoting specific market sectors that attract both readership and advertiser audiences alike.
Special initiatives such as our Today Supplements, for example, celebrate the unique people, places, services and institutions that help foster a sense of home. These publications are distributed and targeted to specific neighbourhoods in the cities of Toronto and Vaughan. Competitive pricing and packaging allows advertisers the opportunity to market their presence in both publications.
The success of these guides has been instrumental in an increased interest in the markets we serve; as a result, other third party guides are currently being developed for specific clients.
The Multicom Media/NewsWeb partnership has also
successfully produced special marketing supplements for third party
organizations such as the Italian Chamber of Commerce of Toronto, the Italian
Board of Trade of Toronto, Centro Calabria, Confederation of Laziali, Maple Leaf
Sports and Entertainment, Ontario Place, and the Region of Umbria. In
every case, colourful editorial supplements were produced as marketing
collateral giveaway pieces or keepsakes.
Key to the Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment campaign was a
four-page, full-colour wrap that accompanied our Spanish, Italian and Portuguese
newspapers to promote the 2007 debut of the Toronto FC and their season ticket
packages. A four-page, full-colour wrap was also used to promote the summer 2007
season of Ontario Place; but, in addition, it was translated into 20 languages
to reach Toronto's key cultural groups. The response was so positive,
Terry Caddo, Ontario Place Director of Marketing and Communications, wrote,
"With the wrap, we were able to reach over two million readers with just one
insertion order." The collaboration with Italy's Region of Umbria produced
the creation of a unique campaign of monthly Travel supplements, 12-page
full-colour, exploring different aspects of Umbria and additional travel ideas
culled from every corner of the globe.
As such, Multicom Media and NewsWeb are poised to
continue leveraging these kinds of accomplishments in order to grow this
particular aspect of our business.
