At Multimedia Nova, our products and services reflect Canada’s ever-changing demographics through our four main subsidiaries.
The Canadian multicultural markets are highly attractive consumer markets for local, classified and national advertising. Multicultural websites and newspapers provide content that cannot be found elsewhere. Immigrants to Canada often experience a fractured sense of identity and hunger for news that reflects themselves and their lives in a way that large media cannot.
Our four main divisions capture these viable markets and untapped audiences currently not reached by mainstream media organizations: Multicom Media Services, Diversity Marketing Services Ltd. and Lingua Ads, TalentOyster®, and NewsWeb Printing & Distribution Inc.
Through Multicom, our media and publishing division, we produce over 25 publications (newspaper, online, and specialty supplements) in Ontario. Multicom’s print products alone tap into half a million homes and reach over 1.5 million readers.
Our multicultural marketing services, Diversity Marketing Services and Lingua Ads, provide expertise in strategic and media planning, cultural and consumer research and insights, creative development, and media buying solutions not being offered by traditional media.
TalentOyster® represents our commitment to diversity in the workplace; simply, it is the Canadian diversity employment portal designed to reach the widest possible audience, providing an access point for employers and job seekers alike.
Our printing and distribution division, NewsWeb, prints over 40 titles primarily for third party diversity publishers and distributes marketing materials to anywhere between 5,000 and 500,000 households depending on client needs.
Our creative ability and the need to remain competitive often results in developing substantial economies of scale by leveraging newsgathering and editorial operations and distribution systems in the markets we serve which has allowed us to serve our customers in a more efficient and cost effective way. As a result, the compatibility of our subsidiaries allows for a synergy between them to offer Special Projects to diverse publishers and readers alike.
There is no other company in Canada as well positioned to take advantage of the fact that half the population of Toronto was born outside Canada. In fact, we publish in four of Toronto’s five most spoken languages.
